Hello Good World!
(2016), the novel “Êta Mundo Melhor!” faced a deadlock behind the scenes: some actors and actresses who were part of the first version of the novel refused to return. Despite the expectation of bringing back most of the original cast for the sequel, Globo failed to convince some important names to embark on another journey with Candinho (Sergio Guizé).
The biggest problem was coordinating the artists’ schedules with the long recording period of the soap opera. With almost ten years between one soap opera and another, the aging of the characters also had to be taken into account.
Ana Lucia Torre, interpreter of the charismatic Dona Camélia, chose to prioritize her theater commitments and declined the invitation to reprise the role.
Nivea Maria
It was escalated to take on a role similar to the original character, commanding the pension that serves as a refuge for the protagonists.
Another name that was left out was that of

The actor gave life to Professor Pancrácio, one of the most beloved characters in the story. However, he refused to return due to disagreements with the network.
The absence of Candinho’s advisor forced the screenwriters to create a new, younger character to perform the role of the protagonist’s mentor: Asdrúbal (

). Paulo Vieira was once considered, but also declined the invitation due to other professional commitments at the same network.
Rosi Campos, who played the country girl Eponina, could not accept the proposal from Globo because she was contracted by SBT, acting in A Caverna Encantada. JP Rufino, the Pirulito, was replaced by a new character, Picolé (
Isaac Peanuts
). The actor, now older, no longer fit the profile of the role, which required a youthful appearance to maintain the continuity of the story.
