“Ainda Estou Aqui” was the big winner of the Grande Otelo Award this Wednesday (30), in Rio de Janeiro. The first Brazilian film to win an Oscar, the movie was already a record holder for nominations and won 13 out of the 16 categories it competed in, including Best Film.
In addition to awards for technical categories, such as sound and visual effects,
Fernanda Torres
e Selton Mello won for their performances, and
Walter Salles
Won Best Director.
“Still Here” started in Rio de Janeiro. And I feel that I have traveled around the world, being back here with Walter (…). I have already been with Eunice Paiva for two years, and she has become a second nature to me,” said Fernanda.
With the theme “Brazilian cinema in the world,” the ceremony awarded 30 prizes and celebrated the highlights of national audiovisual in the past year, with films such as “Chico Bento e a Goiabeira Maraviósa,” “Baby,” and the series “Senna” among the winners.
